Nicolas Cazard (France)

Even if he lives and works in Paris, Nicolas Cazard regularly comes back to his native Normandy. There he captures places he likes. He started to use FUJIFILM cameras and lenses when the X100 came out in 2012. His favorite subject is black and white portraits as well as color landscapes. His gear never leaves him when he travels. Nicolas works with advertising agencies and also sometimes a few weddings. You can find and follow him on social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Flickr where he looks for daily inspiration.

I spent 10 years being loyal to DSLRs. It all ended when I discovered the X100. Since then I got rid of 6 kilos of hardware and shoot only with FUJIFILM bodies and lenses. I re-discovered the essence of photography, the pleasure to compose and take time without the need to release the shutter continuously. It is a complete different philosophy which I believe sticks to FUJIFILM’s brand. I got several version of the X100 camera, and then moved to the X-E1, X-Pro 1 and today the X-T1. The XF18-55mm lens covers most of my needs thanks to its great optical qualities. However, my go-to lens is for sure the XF 56mm and its amazing f/1.2 aperture. I’m not a technician or a pixel peeper. I shoot mostly by feeling. Thanks to the ease of use of FUJIFILM’s camera bodies and lenses, I can seamlessly translate my vision into my work.
