Alberto Selvestrel
Alberto Selvestrel was born in Turin the 29th November, 1996.
In 2014, at the age of 17, he approached photography with a particular attention to the landscape. Two years later he deepened his research by self-studying, and decided to focus on the anthropic landscape and its modifications, starting to develop his unique style characterized by geometric and minimal compositions. Selvestrel’s research is aimed at condensing the maximum level of his conceptual expression into the minimal form.
Furthermore, during 2017 Selvestrel exhibited his work in Italy and in 2018 exhibited in London and Brussels.
In March 18, 2019 his second book entitled “Link” was released, with a foreword of one of the greatest Italian photographers: Giovanni Gastel.
In October 2019 Selvestrel was the only Italian photograph chosen by FujiFilm to collaborate on the launch of their latest camera, the X-Pro3.
In 2020, Automobili Lamborghini chose Selvestrel for the project “With Italy for Italy”, aimed at the valorisation of Italy during times of post-Covid.
During the same year, Selvestrel inaugurated his first solo show in Milano, curated by ArtNoble.
On 26th June 2021 inaugurated the exhibition “L’unica Danza” in collaboration with Fondazione Elpis and Galleria Continua for the project “Una Boccata d’arte”.
발도르시아는 제가 추구하는 이미지를 합한 것 같습니다. 넓은 공간에 선이 몇 개 그어져 있고 빛이 풍부해서 변화무쌍한 색채가 표현됩니다.
언덕의 윤곽선 자체가 추상화 구상 같아서 고대의 정서를 연구하는 기분이 듭니다.

이번 여정은 XF30mmF2.8 R LM WR Macro와 함께했습니다. 다른 카메라와 비교해 다목적이고 가벼워서 행동이 자유로워 짐의 무게를 느끼지 않고 토스카나 시골을 몇 마일이나 걸을 수 있었습니다.
또한 내후성이 우수한 구조 덕분에 날씨가 다양하게 바뀌어도 아무런 문제가 없었습니다.

이 렌즈는 세상과의 거리를 달리하면서 접하는 데 이상적입니다. 아주 가까운 거리에서 접사 촬영을 통해 맨눈으로는 보이지 않는 현실을 볼 수 있게 해주었습니다. 그러면서도 어떤 상황에서도 선명하고 다목적성까지 입증되어 수많은 피사체에 가까이 접근해 찍어도 훌륭한 결과를 보장합니다.

원하는 장면을 포착해 사진을 촬영하려면 자연적인 리듬을 따르는 것이 중요합니다. 원하는 빛이 알아서 나타날 때까지 기다려야 하죠.
그래서 사진 촬영이란 결국 기다림이 됩니다. 개념이 현실과 맞부딪히는 순간을 기다려야 하죠. 그 순간이 와야만 마침내 셔터 버튼을 누를 수 있습니다.
개인적으로 사진이란 명상과 비슷하다고 생각합니다. 카메라를 잡고 있을 때면 걱정거리나 일상생활에서 생기는 잡다한 생각을 전부 잊어버립니다. 엄청난 집중력으로 주변의 공간과 공생하는 어떤 다른 차원으로 순간 이동한 것 같아요. 그러다 마침내는 되돌아와 정말로 ‘볼’ 수 있게 됩니다.
