How do you like to shoot your photos? On a screen? Through a viewfinder? No two situations (or photographers) are the same, which is why most of the cameras in the X Series give photographers a choice between a high-resolution electronic viewfinder and a tilting viewscreen – ideal for shooting from awkward angles.
Then there’s our X-Pro3 and X100F cameras, which feature hybrid viewfinders that change between optical and electronic modes at the flick of a switch. There is also the class-leading detachable viewfinder on the GFX 50S camera, which offers a staggering 3.69 million dot resolution.
Our understanding
We want photographers to engage with our cameras; to enjoy holding them and working with their analogue controls. We took our cues from traditional film cameras when we designed the X Series, and came up with digital cameras that can be used intuitively even when events are unfolding quickly and you’re concentrating hard on that decisive moment.
Top-plate dials are precision milled from aluminium, giving cameras a high-quality feel that inspires confidence. Many X Series cameras and lenses also feature weather-resistant sealing against dust and moisture, so you don’t have to stop shooting when conditions get challenging.
Many of the controls, menus and screens on all X Series camera are customisable, so you can program them to perform just the way you like. If you use a particular feature regularly in your photography, assign it to an easy-to-find custom button so it’s quick to use even with the camera at your eye.
Our PHILOSOPHY
When you buy a FUJIFILM camera, you’re investing in a piece of equipment that will last for years. To help keep up with the rapid pace of technological change in digital photography, we periodically release new firmware versions for many of our cameras, bringing new features and performance improvements.
This is the Japanese philosophy of kaizen, which translates literally as ‘change good’. We are proud to strive for constant improvement, even after an X Series camera is in your hands. Updates are easy to install, either from the fujifilm.com website or via the FUJIFILM Camera Remote app. What’s more, they’re free!
