Story

My profession is “Travel Photographer” and I also love to participate in international photo contests. In 2015, I changed to FUJIFILM X system from other DSLRs system for my traveling. I needed to reduce the weight of camera and equipment in my travel, but at the same time I needed the best image quality. I also love the unique design of FUJIFILM X cameras and the color of Fujifilm. With the FUJIFILM cameras, I captured more photos in my travel and won many prizes in international photo contests.

Let me present “one of my International Prize Winning photo” and how I captured this photo in the low light.

I shot this photo in the local traditional hot air balloon festival in Myanmar. It is not easy to capture photos in this festival because everybody in the festival is moving under the low light of night time. I can only get the lighting from the candle light. It is not easy to use the tripod and I needed to shoot handheld. This is why I needed the fast lenses and cameras with good performance in high ISO. FUJIFILM X cameras and FUJINON XF Lenses helped me and I captured these nice photos in the festival, as I wanted.

Here the link of photo contest result.

When I captured the photo in this festival, I also used Star filter and other kind of filters. Because I wanted to submit my photo in the International Filter Photo Contest held in Japan in 2018. Finally the photo above won the KT special prize.

Here are my other photos from the traditional hot air balloon festival in Myanmar. I used wide F2.8 aperture for this photo so I can use higher shutter speed 1/60 sec and can freeze the action of people in the festival.

For all photos above, I used only one body and one lens.

I love the FUJINON XF prime lenses, but the XF zoom lenses are more useful for me. Because I can’t carry many prime lenses when I travel for photo shooting. My favorite XF zoom lenses are the XF8-16mmF2.8 R LM WR and the XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR.

I hope to see XF fisheye lens in the future. I also need a fisheye for my creation and travel photography. I can present the point of view with Fisheye lens.
