29 June 2024 – London Photowalk 11:30-17:30

25 October 2024 The Thames at Night Photowalk 15:00-21:00

What will you learn?

After a brief overview of basic camera settings, Linda will delve into exposure techniques, emphasising how aperture, ISO, and shutter speed interplay.

She’ll demonstrate long exposure methods to capture motion and teach capturing light trails for dynamic night photography. Additionally, Linda will show how to creatively use reflections in urban landscapes and water, adding depth to images.

Participants will also receive tips on street and black-and-white photography, focusing on candid moments and contrast. You’ll learn to locate and immortalise the most photogenic spots in the area, blending technical skills with creative storytelling.

What kit do you need?

You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although a selection of the latest FUJIFILM cameras and lenses will be available on the day. Photographers travelling lighter are also welcome to borrow 3LeggedThing tripods and Kase filters.

Please do contact us on [email protected] or call us on 0203 486 4610 if there is anything you want to try. We will try our very best to accommodate you.

As the UK weather is so unpredictable, be sure to pack weather-appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes, and take a bottle of water and snacks to keep you going. Though we will have a designated break time to rest, catch up and reset, there will be a lot of walking and time spent outside.

About Linda Koolen

Before we share the details of our London photo walk, let’s get to know more about the photography guide who will be accompanying you on our photo walk of The Big Smoke.

After studying photography in the Netherlands Linda Koolen packed her bags and moved to London. Inspiration for her photography comes from everyday life and the people surrounding her in this vibrant city. However, she also travels into nature whenever she gets a chance.

In her free time, she mostly enjoys street and landscape photography, but she has a never-ending curiosity for everything photography-related. Her passion for sharing her knowledge with others has resulted in her joining the Fujifilm family and she can’t wait for you to join along the way!
