Michael Amendolia (Australia)

Telling a story in photographs has been photographer Michael Amendolia’s his core work for over thirty years. He works for Australian and International magazines, newspapers and companies.
His photography on blindness prevention has received recognition at the World Press Photo Awards in 1999 and 2001. He was the principal photographer for the book “Seeing is Believing” based on the work of one of Australian’s great humanitarian’s Professor Fred Hollows.
The showcase of Michael’s work with humanitarian photojournalism is twenty four years of documentary photography on the work of Nepalese ophthalmic visionary Dr Sanduk Ruit where he working in Nepal, Tibet, India, Bhutan, Myanmar, North Korea, Bangaldesh and Indonesia.
Michael is currently is on the Walkley Foundation Advisory Board as it’s photojournalism representative.
