Saar Avigour (Israel)

Saar Avigour is an active commercial, advertising, PR and press photographer based in Tel-Aviv. A graduate of the Film and Art school at Tel-Aviv University, and former documentary cinematographer for Israel TV, Saar seeks artistic peace in still Street Photography.
Departing from the required formalism in commercial photography and obliging realism of press coverage, Saar roams Tel-Aviv streets, recording on his camera own little stories he finds within the mundane, where street is the stage, street inhabitants are actors, and the photographer is director. Saar's body of work focuses mainly on the human interaction with and within urban environments. It is mostly as straight as it comes out-of-camera, disregarding by purpose any excessive post processing. Using various other photographic tools and techniques in his daily work, while on the street, Saar's one and exclusive camera is his X-Pro2 with its XF35mm and XF23mm primes. Saar counts with the founders of Israeli Street Photographers Collective – URBANICA. His works have been exhibited in various TLV galleries and shows in Israel, and sold occasionally to institutions and private collectors.
