A Snapshot of Success

Lito Sy started his career in wedding photography when he was invited to cover the wedding of his pastor in Davao City, Philippines. The pastor told him that he was blessed with a creative eye; it was at this point that Lito began to harness a love for photography, Despite Sy having already earned himself a degree in Engineering, he pursued his interest in exploring the possibilities of penetrating the photography industry. He saw the uniqueness of his shots and challenged himself to contribute his share to the art that is photography.

Lito Sy's main inspiration in furthering his career in wedding and portrait photography is his family― especially his only daughter. To him, they are the two people who motivate him to be the best in the industry, adding other projects such as food, product, fashion and landscape photography in the list of his expertise.

The Industry Through Lito Sy's Lens

An elite clientele composed of celebrities, politicians and businessmen has noticed Lito Sy's knack for capturing beauty through the camera lens. He covered the golden wedding anniversary of the business tycoon Lucio Tan and his wife Carmen. He is also the Vice-President Jejomar Binay's official family portrait photographer, whom they use in the Vice President's PR collaterals for magazines and election campaign materials. Other businessmen such as Mr. George Dy of Metrobank and politicians such as Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., Speaker Prospero Nograles, Mayor Recom Echeverri and Governor Chavit Singson are also listed in the long list of his high profiled clientele. Gov. Singson's portrait has won 1st Place in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) 8x10 print competition in Los Angeles, California. This year, Lito Sy will be celebrating his 25th anniversary in the business. As an established name in the industry of photography in the Philippines, he has been chosen to be a resource speaker and workshop facilitator in various training and conventions so that he can impart his knowledge to aspiring professional photographers, both locally and internationally.

A Photographer of International Caliber

Joselito "Lito" Carreon Sy is one of the most established wedding and portraits photographers in the Philippines. He is the only Filipino to have ever won first-prize in the "Bride and Groom" category (16x20 print competitions) of the 2012 WPPI Awards― a convention attended by 16,000 photographers from all over the globe, held annually at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2011, he won first prize for "Wedding Details" category in the same ｖ award-giving body, which is considered the Superbowl of wedding and portraits photography enthusiasts. He has won various first, second and third place prizes in the different WPPI categories in 8x10 print competitions since his first joining in 2005.

Recognized as one of Signature Weddings' top 30 photographers in Asia, Lito is the first and only Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (WPPP) Master Photographer and was also recognized as the WPPP Photographer of the Year in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011. He was also given the highest distinction award, Fellowship, by the Wedding and Portrait Photographers of Malaysia (WPPM) in 2011.

In addition to the astounding number of awards the Filipino professional has won, Lito Sy is also a brand ambassador of several photographic companies such as Fujifilm , Epson, Phottix , Think Tank camera bags, Lexar and Spider Holster.

Lito is also an international speaker and lecturer.
