Piet Van den Eynde (Belgium)

Piet Van den Eynde is een Belgische freelance fotograaf, auteur en trainer die zich specialiseert in reisportretten. Hij werkt graag met flitslicht om sprekende portretten te maken in verre gebieden, of dat nu het Altai gebergte in Mongolië is of de Omo rivier in Zuid-Ethiopië. Wanneer hij niet aan het reizen is, schrijft hij boeken of maakt hij tutorials over fotografie, belichting en beeldbewerking. In zijn vrije tijd houdt hij ervan om de belichting van bekende televisieseries te proberen achterhalen of Monopolie te spelen met – en te verliezen van – zijn zoon Noah.

Testimonial

I started my Fujifilm journey with the original X-Pro and the 18, 35 and 60 mm primes because I was looking for something smaller than my DSLR that would still give me excellent image quality. Over the years, I’ve worked with most of the Fujifilm cameras but when in 2016, I got a chance to test drive the GFX50S and make a testimonial video about it in Varanasi, India, I was completely hooked on the GFX system, which is now my go-to setup. I love the GFX system because it’s still relatively lightweight and compact given the incredible quality and the raw files it produces are a dream to work with in postprocessing. My favourite lenses are the 32-64 and of course the 110 mm portrait lens but I am also very curious about the new 80 mm 1.7
