I “converted” to FUJIFILM X about a year ago. I always loved the whole Cartier-Bresson vibe about photography. To have this tool that would help me align eye-brain-heart concept.
In the X-Pro2 I’ve found that and much more. First of all it’s really intuitive. Everything I need to make a photograph is right there, in the most blatant and obvious way. Dials for all the key variables. The Hybrid Viewfinder that lets me judge exposure while on EVF, and then lets me connect with my subject unobtrusively with the OVF! I can keep my eye on him/her and know exactly if I have the shot. No blackout, that’s priceless when you’re working with moving, breathing subjects. Then there’s the weight… Or lack of it. It’s a joy to get on a plane with this tiny bag with my camera and three lenses. Knowing that everything I need to get the job done is there.
That’s the way I need to feel when I’m going out on a job. My tools are there for me and they will not get in the way, in any way.
