Going Beyond with Prasanth Gulfu: A Journey with Fujifilm’s new XF30mm lens
Prasanth Gulfu shares his first-hand experience with the all new FUJINON XF30mm lens through his macro universe.
Seeing beyond. Believing beyond. That is what has been the driving force in all of my photography expeditions. To see beyond the common and bring to life the uncommon view of an insect or a subject. To believe that there is more to everything and go beyond with a perfect camera and lens.
Fujifilm has allowed me to move with ease and capture with expertise. Weather, time, distance; nothing stops me from capturing breathtaking frames.
I have learned that capturing macro frames demands precision and perfection at unexpected moments. Since the subject is very alert, it tends to get scared very easily. The new XF 30mm lens fits perfectly into all the right moments with ease.
It can capture subjects with a distance as small as 1.2 cm from the lens. The silent and linear autofocus also helps in capturing the right frames, locking the subject and freezing the moment with ease.
Its light-weight and compact shape make the process even simpler. The weather resistance feature makes XF30mm the best choice for macro expeditions.
To make things even brighter, XF30mm can also be used as a standard prime lens that captures lively frames in all detailing.
At times, changing lenses becomes a hassle. But with the XF30mm lens, I can easily capture portraits or macro or other subjects, without changing the lens.
One of the major benefits is that there is no distance restriction in this lens. In other macro lenses, you can only shoot closer subjects. But with Fujifilm’s XF30mm lens, I can shoot macro and use it as a standard prime lens with much ease.
The inner focus mechanism of this lens is very smooth. It can focus on close subjects very fast and accurately. Being a macro photographer, I need a very silent and quick auto focus lens. And Fujifilm’s XF30mm lens delivers it perfectly.
Fujifilm’s XF 30mm lens is a welcome addition, as no other manufacturer has explored this type of lens. And thanks to Fujifilm, I can see beyond and believe more in the power of capturing amazing moments, motions and emotions.
