Patrice Michellon (France)

Patrice Michellon is a Franco-German photographer who lives in Paris.  Self-taught, he has been using FUJIFILM’s X series cameras and lenses since 2012 (and more specifically the X100 series bodies). Since 2019 he has been working exclusively with GFX series material to capture all sorts of subjects. His images are a patchwork of landscapes, architecture, offbeat portraits, as well as moments stolen in the streets when he travels. Each time, the light and strong contrasting colors play an major role in his compositions. Since 2014, he has also produced and presented to over 10,000 learners, photography and retouching classes on one of the main online training platforms in France. He is the author of the “GFX Guide” (www.leguidegfx.com) first released in 2020. This book is distributed online for free and is updated quarterly. In this guide, owners of GFX hardware as well as informed amateurs, can get access to tips and tricks, camera bodies and lenses reviews, interviews with photographers and information, in order to decide what to do before a purchase, or to read the latest GFX news!

The compositions are meant to be minimalist with undertaken, almost physical vanishing lines. The main theme is tranquility / calm which hopefully transpires through these polished images of landscapes, modern architectural universes, and unreal portraits.
