New York WILD Film Festival

This annual film festival showcases documentaries about exploration, adventure, wildlife, conservation and the environment – bringing all things WILD to urban New Yorkers

Encapsulating the spirit of the wild, New York WILD plays host to an extensive variety of documentary films. Platforming works that effect and inspire, an esteemed jury curates a wealth of material over a six-day event, featuring programming, Q&A sessions, and intimate receptions. New York WILD also conducts film clubs and special events with its partners throughout the year.

Championing and celebrating the natural world, New York WILD aims to stimulate discussions, effecting positive change via passionate storytellers and impactful projects. The festival recently partnered with FUJIFILM USA, sharing a mission to showcase and support filmmakers.

This year (2022), the organization continues to expand the scope of its student programs.

Nancy Rosenthal, Founder & Executive Director

Nancy Rosenthal has worked extensively on award-winning documentary films with National Geographic. In 2014, she founded the New York WILD Film Festival, with the belief that film is the most powerful way to move people. She leads program curation and the big-picture vision at New York WILD.

Brianna Rowe, Festival Director

Environmental educator and digital storyteller, Brianna Rowe roots her expertise in a vast catalog of filmmaking expeditions and environmental impact programs. At present, she heads up partnerships, liaising with brand-aligned organizations and individuals that grow and develop the festival’s influence.

Gillian Coyne, Festival Coordinator

With an academic background in film festivals, Gillian has worked around the world using festival programming to spark meaningful conversation and inspire change. She currently handles the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth event production and a memorable experience for attendees.
