After I have used this lens for a few months now, it has been such a game-changer. Here are only a few of the examples on how it has changed my work.
Since I take many architectural photos such as, interior and exterior, I need an ultra-wide lens. Usually, I use the GF23mm and I am happy with it. But now with the GF20-35mm, it has a wider focal length and it makes it easier for me to take wide angle photos. At the same time, with the zoom ability, it gives me more flexibility.
These days, I always use my GFX100 for doing my commercial work and this lens can easily match the GFX resolution of 100 megapixels. The quality of pictures are amazing and I don’t see any problems with the ghost and flare. Even though it is a zoom lens, the quality of the lens from edge to edge is magnificent.
I am quite surprised with how Fujifilm made this lens very light and handy, so I can carry this lens around without any problems. For my works, I need CPL filter quite often and the size is mostly 82mm. So when using this lens, it fits perfectly with all of my filters. One thing that I love about this lens is the inner zoom. The inner zoom makes the lens more rugged, handy and less prone to dust. It also gave the lens better weather resistance because sometimes I do my work in a bad weather such as, rain and extreme conditions. Especially with the fluorine coating, it repels dust and water.
With all of these advantages, I am pretty sure that this lens will be in my arsenal every time I do my commercial works.
