Autumn In Wulan Butong

October 15, 2020, Fujifilm released the new style design camera X-S10. Fortunately, I have a chance to use this compact and light camera and took the small guy to Wulan Butong , a beautiful place! The golden autumn dam is the photographer’s paradise. Choose a hill to sit down , the endless prairie has already quietly turned into a golden piece. The forests in the distance are all dyed.,the red, yellow, and green leaves are like the tones of God accidentally dropping them.

New style S series

FUJIFILM X-T Series have been deeply rooted in users’ hearts. Many users will think that X-S10 released this time is an upgraded version of the X-T30. In fact, the obvious change in the name of the sequence means that the X-S10 brings a new style. As my view the meaning of the “S”: Stable, Simple, Surprise, Studio&video, Secure , Small&Silm. As a photographer who has used the X-T series since X-T1, when I got the X-S10, the difference I felt is grip!

More important is the change in control design-the reappearance of the mode dial. The previous X-T series did not have a mode dial. Instead, an independent ISO dial, speed control dial, and aperture are controlled by the aperture ring on the lens or the body dial. For professional users, such an independent control dial design can provide the fastest control efficiency, but this will require a learning and adapting process for users who are new to Fuji.

    X-S10 has returned to the traditional mode dial design. Various shooting modes are clear at a glance, which is more suitable for beginners to switch smoothly.

Quick custom settings in different scene changes

Although the X-S10 has returned to the traditional mode dial design, it has not compromised on the speed of control. Instead, it provides convenient control for fast switching between different scenes through 4 custom modes C1~C4. The scenes of Wulan Butong in autumn is very rich. I will register C1 as normal scenery shooting, aperture priority F11, ISO160, AF-S single focus;

X-S10 f/11 1/40 s ISO 160 XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR

C2 responds to the bracketing shooting required by the bright light environment. It is registered as aperture priority F11, ISO160, AF-S single focus, and 2 seconds of timer Selfie and auto bracketing are activated at the same time;

X-S10 f/11 1/20 s ISO 160 XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR

C3 responds to sports scenes such as galloping horses, registered as shutter priority, shutter speed 1/1000s~1/1600s, ISO auto, AF-C continuous focus, and high-speed continuous shooting function is enabled;

X-S10 f/5 1/1250 s ISO 800 XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR

C4 is set to creative shooting, registered as aperture priority, F11, ISO160, AF-S single focus, and multiple exposure settings are turned on.

X-S10 f/11 0.6 s ISO 160 XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR,5 Multiple Exposures

In this way, when dealing with any scene changes, there is no need to adjust the entire set of parameters, as long as the dial is turned to the corresponding custom mode, you can quickly and accurately enter the shooting state.

Multiple exposure shooting with greater Freedom

If you want to show your creativity more in your photos, multiple exposures are a unique and important technique. Multiple exposures have been widely used in the film era. Digital cameras make this gorgeous-looking photography technique more convenient. It can present the same subject multiple times in different ways on the same photo, and it can also Different sceneries are magically superimposed on the same picture, showing its unique artistic effect with rich picture levels.

X-S10 continues the improvement of X-T4’s multiple exposure performance. It provides 4 multiple overlay modes of overlay, average, bright, and dark, and can complete the overlay of 9 photos. What’s more user-friendly is that when shooting any one When the photos are superimposed, you can confirm and retry the operation to ensure that each superimposition accurately achieves the photographer’s vision.

Movie and IBIS performance

In recent years, shooting high-quality videos with cameras has been loved by more and more users. X-S10 supports the popular 4K 30P 200Mbps video recording function, which can easily achieve 4:2:0 8bit in-camera recording and 4:2:2 10bit to HDMI out recording function, and also has 1080/240P video shooting capabilities. In particular, 240P can capture 10 times the slow playback, while ensuring the output quality, the performance of sports themes is more delicate and artistic.

Movie shooting is of course inseparable from the stability of IBIS performance, X-S10 built-in 5-axis anti-shake, in the handheld shooting mode, up to 6 shutter speed compensation can be achieved. After turning on the IBIS and digital image stabilization (DIS) functions, the jitter phenomenon of the video picture can be greatly reduced, the picture performance is smoother, and the jitter problem caused by handheld can be effectively avoided.
