In weiten Teilen der deutschen Fotografie-Szene hat sich dieser liebevoll gemeinte Ausdruck für die Arbeit mit Ringlichtern und anderem Dauerlicht etabliert.
Jens Burger, Jahrgang `68 ist Künstler. Bürgerlich durchtrieben, ehrlich, lustig, auch musikalisch wertvoll und visuell unverwechselbar. Der Autodidakt beschäftigt sich in seiner fotografischen Arbeit in erster Linie kreativ mit People-, Beauty- und Trashfotografie, bewegt sich also am liebsten oberhalb der Gürtellinie. Ausnahmen bestätigen dabei die Regel. Besonders seine kompromisslose Verweigerung gegenüber der Arbeit mit Blitzen hat ihn in den letzten Jahren zu einem der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten Dauerlichtfotografen werden lassen. Jedes Foto ein besonderer Hingucker voller Farbe, Kontrast und Kreativität. Der Fotograf & Grafikdesigner aus dem niedersächsischen Bad Gandersheim ist in seinem Paralleluniversum Profi-Musiker bei „Monsters of Liedermaching“ und „Die Schröders“. Rocken tut er aber gewiss nicht nur die Bühne.
Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen und Covers auf und in einschlägigen Magazinen und Zeitungen gehören genauso dazu, wie die Zusammenarbeit mit der Mode- und Beauty-Industrie. Seit 2012 ist er offiziell Influencer bei der Firma Adobe. Seit 2014 ist er als Dozent für die “FUJIFILM-School” im Einsatz.
Jens Burger: “Ein gutes Shooting sollte ein Abenteuer sein”
My name is Jens Burger. I am an X-photographer from Germany. I tested the new FUJINON XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR for a whole day in practice and achieved many great results. In combination with the FUJIFILM X-T3 I have a complete equipment for three very different topics:
OUTDOOR
Since it is water and dust resistant, I had a photo shooting in the morning in a dusty sand pit. The XF16-80mmF4 R OIS WR worked very well. It was completely dusty afterwards, but showed no crunching or deficits.
IN STUDIO WITH DURABLE LIGHT
In the afternoon we tested the lens in the studio and photographed a colorful beauty set. In the beauty photography I prefer a F4 aperture. Therefore, the XF16-80mm is also a very good choice. The sharpness and imaging performance have absolutely convinced me and with a zoom with a constant F4 aperture, I was very flexible at work.
INDOOR WITH AVAILABLE LIGHT
For my indoor test I was in the evening in an old barrel factory for a ballet shoot. The lighting conditions were rather difficult and I worked in an ISO range between 500 and 1000. The XF16-80mm has worked very well here with its fast focus and the pictures have a very nice look.
Conclusion
The FUJINON XF16-80mm is a great lens! The lens gets pretty much all the focal lengths that I use in my work as a people photographer. For me it’s THE perfect “Allday Kit Lens”. The constant aperture of 4.0 gives a very nice depth effect. Simply great!
