How to Train Your Eye

How to Train Your Eye

David Gaberle

Saturday 22.3, 15:00 - 18:00 • How to Train Your Eye

David Gaberle

Street photography is often associated with perfect timing, the ability to react quickly and create complex compositions. Many people aspire to do street photography, but eventually give up because they can't make images they enjoy. It takes many years of training and a good dose of patience for a street photographer to be able to record exceptional situations.

After years of organizing workshops, David Gaberle decided to create a small model of the city in collaboration with architect Jakub Kolk, where everyone can try out the basic principles of street photography. It is rare to get lucky with street photography. There are few suitable situations for training. A model of the city with buildings, Prague's furnishings and figures that you can freely try to place in your desired composition will serve at the workshop with David to illustrate various street-photography techniques and also as a training ground where you can play. You'll learn how to find the light in the streets and at the same time you'll be able to try out what compositions suit your way of shooting. This workshop is not only for beginners, but also for advanced photographers who are keen to explore new photographic techniques.
