Németh György (Hungary)

I was born in Hungary, in a small village at the southern border. I get know photography when I, as a teacher needed it for illustrations. I joined a fashionable amateur artistic movements of a documentary nature circle forming, took part of exhibitions and competitions as a member of the Kontakt group. I became relatively late professional photographers, I was over 35 when I joined MTI (Hungarian News Agency) as a photojournalist.
I toured in southern Hungary, Serbia, Romania, prepared the news as I had to made them in those times. I have participated in every year the national and international (World Press) photography competitions, and I received numerous awards for my works. My photos already were exhibited Rome and Paris.
Currently, I am teaching photography at University of Szeged, like photojournalism and visual communication. I work as freelacher again so I have more freedom for my works. If it is possible, I travel through the world and try to capture authentic environments and lifestyle. Sometime I find it very far from my country (Armenia, Iran, Georgia, Burma, etc.) or very close to where I live (farmland of the Serbian border).
