Roger Serrasqueiro is a Portuguese director, photographer and creative art director. He was born in Mozambique and lived most of his youth in the Azores Islands surrounded by stunning landscapes and a deep blue Atlantic Ocean.
His work emerges from a diverse blending of cultures, most notably surfing, traveling, and creativity.
He started working in the advertising industry in 1997 as junior art director at Publicis Lisbon, moving on to being senior art director at BBDO Portugal, and later creative director at Bates RedCell.
Roger served as executive creative director in a creative photography studio, which he co-founded in 2007. Under Roger's creative leadership, the studios based in Lisbon become a reference in the advertising photography industry.
In 2012 he started his career as a director and photographer at Garage Films Lisbon, a leading production company in Portugal.
He has won some of the most notable industry awards for creativity, photography and direction, such as Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Epica Awards, Cresta, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, NY Festivals, Clio Awards, El Sol, Fiap, London International Awards, amongst others. Recently he won the Young Director Awards 2015. His work has appeared in several publications such as Lurzer's Archive and Shots Magazine, to name but a few.
He joined Instagram and quickly become a "suggested user by Instagram". His photos have been featured several times by global brands and art communities.
Photography has always been part of his life while searching for his wide range of interests - from the ocean and landscapes to street photography and stories about people.
