Kim always has an eye to the images that capture the joy, the emotion, the sheer fun of a moment. He’ll find the light and encourage the right look, the right hint of personality from even the most reluctant portrait sitter. If the shot needs him to melt into the background, he’ll blend into the crowd and capture the photo. But if energy is what you need, he’ll throw himself into rousing the crowd and inspiring some action, as well as getting the kids to pull a few crazy faces. Photos that make you smile at and remember.
I had my first taste of what is now my mainstay camera system when I bought a second hand X-E1 and attached one of my old M42 lenses to it. I was amazed by the clarity of the files and the ease of use, the size, the simplicity of that little Fuji camera & the love affair began. One year of shooting Fuji side by side with my full frame camera and there was no going back for me. I finally had the system I longed for but didn’t fully realise just how much fun shooting with this new set up brought to me until I let go of the ‘big camera’. My Fuji finds me shooting at weddings, portraits, corporate, commercial, landscapes and also my own needs as a Dad of two little ones, the most important shots & my most important client, my very understanding wife.
