Leaving his comfort zone as much as possible, "do not lose your beginner spirit" as he says, not to rest on his acquired and exploring different kinds of photographs. He continues to vary his work, to evolve, to learn while working for the press, fashion, focusing in particular on documentary photography on medium / long term projects. Kalel Koven has been a member of the HL Agency (Hans Lucas) since 2015.
My first Fujifilm camera was the X100S. I was looking for a light, discreet camera, with an optical viewfinder and good ergonomics for street photography. The freedom of this kind of system quickly becomes indispensable. Little by little, I used it for reporting because its qualities allowed me to readjust my way of working. As the camera is less intrusive, it really helps iIn my relationship with my subject, the intimacy. As a natural evolution, I also work with a X-Pro2 camera for a job requiring different focal lengths and more control while enjoying the Fujinon optical range which provides very good, sharp and bright lenses. The combination of these two cameras makes it work in any type of situation. Reportage, sport, concert, street photography, fashion, these are genuine tools designed for photographers, with follow-up and listening from Fujifilm. Close to users, Fujifilm changes the situation and in the field, from day to day, it makes the difference.
