Inge Hondebrink is an established, driven and committed documentair and portrait photographer. In her work, she frequently initiates projects that personally move her. Through her lens, she brings striking subjects, stories and people to life. People are the constant factor in Inge Hondebrink’s photography. Famous, handicapped, old, young each individual poses a unique challenge as a subject, whether in their daily life or when posing for a portrait.
“People inspire me as individuals or as a group if they are doing something that surprises me or inspires me to look with a wider perspective. My style is classical documentary photography. The last four years I combine still photography with video.
I am fully happy when I walk on the streets and make pictures of the people with my Fujifilm X cameras. The compact size allows me to go almost unnoticed, to be less intrusive and aggressive towards the person. Because the cameras are not very heavy I can walk many hours carry my stuff without painful shoulders. The quality of the cameras and lenses surprise me till now.“
