Frederic Marie(France)

Fred is an adventure and travel photographer. Self-taught photographer but with degrees in history and geography, he was formed in journalism at Sciences-Po before getting his press card.

Collaborating with several magazines and news agencies every day, he works in particular on two major themes, such as outdoor and defense. Fred love to share his experiences and adventures, he started two years ago a blog about photography and travel: Destination Reportage

To switch from a DSLR to X-T1 may seem risky when you have to cover outdoors activities and events, such as the BASE jump or tightrope walking. But autofocus performance and lightness of X-T1 allows working under very good conditions.

Its light weight and ergonomic design make this camera a very nice tool when you have to work on cliffs, including recall a few hundred meters above the ground! The electronic shutter that can store images without any noise is a huge plus! This makes it possible to be more discreet and achieve results impossible to do with a fat camera like a DSLR.
