Con una gamma da teleobiettivo equivalente a 76-213mm nel formato pellicola 35mm, questo obiettivo, che offre un'apertura massima costante di F2.8, è adatto non solo per la ritrattistica, ma anche per soggetti in rapido movimento, come nello sport, animali e molto altro. È dotato di sei elementi ED, tra cui un elemento ottico Super ED.
