João Carlos (Portugal)

Born in New York (Portuguese parents), João Carlos is an Advertising, Fashion and Portrait photographer and director of photography.
His artistic explorations began with painting and fine arts which led him to study at Ar.co Institute of Art and Visual Communication in Lisbon, Portugal.
In 2010 he won the Hasselblad Masters Award, a prestigious recognition in the industry, honoring the best in both established and rising photographic talent.
Seeing his work regularly published in different segments, he is constantly invited to speak at events all around the world. He is spokesman for top industry brands such as the album printer Koy Lab, a member of SanDisk Extreme Team , Westcott Top Pro , 3 Legged Thing pro Team and G – TEAM.
