Patrick was born in Switzerland where he grew up loving the outdoors. By the age of 16 he bought his first SLR. He used his camera frequently when he went climbing and hiking with friends. He switched to digital photography in 2005: He worked as UN Military Observer in Eritrea and Ethiopia and wanted to show his family and friends professional pictures.
After a trip around the world in 2010, he decided to learn more about photography. Therefore, he subscribed for a photography school and dove into studio photography. Currently, he works as photographer focusing on people and nature.
I love remote places where not too many people go to. Until I discovered Fuji‘s X-Cameras, this meant carrying heavy loads with camera, lenses, tripod, filters etc. Even though I took my equipment with me, it was always a burden and handicap.
It is different with my Fuji X-T1. It is always with me, even on my way to work. I found a camera and lenses, that fulfill my need for quality. I love the look and the feel of the equipment and I‘m really fond of the fact that it is weather sealed. Because the most dramatic pictures are taken in or after bad weather and in remote places.
